requently Asked Questions

Q. When will you ship my tapes or DVDs?
A. Allow 3-5 business days to receive your order. Orders will be ready to ship within 3 business days after receipt of order. We ship Monday thru Friday. Cut-off times for UPS are at 2 o'clock each day. Overnight delivery does not guarantee next day delivery.
Q. I'm having trouble completing my order. A. If you are on a Windows PC, you will need to have 'cookies' turned on (Privacy set to medium). You can reset the Privacy setting after you place your order. If you are using a Mac, only later operating systems are compatible. Some firewalls prevent completion of the order as well.
Q. Can we pick up the tapes at your location? A. Yes, however, we are a Dallas based company.
Q. If I order on the weekend, when will my tapes/DVDs ship?
A. Your order will ship no later than Wednesday of the following week.
Q. Is UPS RED shipping necessary?

A. Not really. We regularly receive 1 to 2 day shipping into Houston. Save your money unless it's just an emergency.

Q. Can you ship to my apartment? A.  Yes, however, some have been refused because you are not there to sign. You might consider using your apartment office address instead.
Q. What is your return policy? A. Our policy mirrors that of the University of Houston. Each student has 12 days from the start of class to return for a full refund minus any shipping charges.
Q. Do you buy back courses at the end of the Semester?
A.  No.

Q. I have purchased a used set of tapes/DVDs and some are missing or blank. Can I purchase those missing tapes/DVDs?

A. Yes. Individual DVD's are $8.29 and VHS tapes are $6.65 each, plus applicable shipping charge, and can be ordered thru customer service at (800) 880-9400 ext. 240.
Q. I received a blank tape/DVD. What do I do? A.  Call Customer Service (800) 880-9400 ext. 240

Q. My DVD doesn't work in my DVD player. What do I do?

A. Call Customer Service (800) 880-9400 ext 240. We use DVDs that will play in laptops. Some DVD players are too old to accept the newer version of DVD.
Q. I received damaged tapes/DVDs. What do I do? A. Call Customer Service (800) 880-9400 ext 240 immediately. We will replace only those tapes/disc that are damaged.
Q. How do I know if my order has been received? A. Our system will automatically send you an order confirmation via email.
Q. How do I know when my order has shipped? A. Our system will automatically send you a shipping confirmation via email.
Q. The course I want is not listed on your website? A. Call ECI Video at (800) 880-9400, ext. 276 and see if they can help.
Q. Can these courses be found at the campus library? A. Yes, however, they cannot be checked out and must be viewed in the library.
Q. Can I make payment with a check? A. Yes. Your shipment will be held until the check clears.
